AI-AID is an innovative video analytics application powered by artificial intelligence that integrates the functionalities of AI-ROAD3D, AI-INCIDENT, AI-FIRE+, and Cargo Loss, offering a comprehensive solution for monitoring and ensuring the safety of roads, highways, and tunnels.
Thanks to AI-ROAD3D, AI-AID enables the counting and classification of vehicles crossing a virtual sensor in a specific direction. The detected vehicle categories include five classes: cars, bicycles, motorcycles, trucks, and buses. The application can also estimate the color and average speed of vehicles, triggering an alert if the speed exceeds a configurable threshold. It also allows for real-time determination of traffic density and monitoring of vehicle flows through an origin-destination matrix.
AI-AID integrates the capabilities of AI-INCIDENT to detect anomalous situations on the road, such as wrong-way driving, stopped vehicles, U-turns, lane changes, or pedestrians remaining in restricted areas. It can also detect real-time traffic congestion.
AI-AID includes the Cargo Loss feature, designed to detect cargo falling onto the roadway from moving vehicles. Thanks to deep neural networks and advanced computer vision algorithms, the application can identify and report the presence of unexpected obstacles on the road, improving traffic safety and reducing accident risks.
The integration of AI-FIRE+ enables timely detection of flames and smoke, allowing for immediate response in case of fire. The application is ideal for environments where traditional fire sensors are ineffective, such as road tunnels, parking lots, industrial areas, and highway sections surrounded by vegetation. AI-AID does not require thermal cameras and supports monitoring of large areas from long distances.
By leveraging sophisticated artificial intelligence algorithms and an advanced three-dimensional calibration system, AI-AID represents a cutting-edge solution for enhancing road safety, ensuring high accuracy even in extremely complex scenarios such as tunnels, crowded city streets, nighttime conditions, or adverse weather.
